Claude Emond posts the 8 Principles of Successful Agile Projects, which is part 2 in a 5 part series on an Agile framework. I especially like the “no surprises principle”.

Mike Griffiths outlines the Value Stream Mapping principles for the new PMI-ACP exam.

Andrew Clifford has an excellent post on Bootstrapping.

Steven Roock provides 5 tips for impediment resolution with Scrum.

Dan Naden talks about Agile not being a game of perfect.

Judy Umlas discusses the 7 principles of acknowledgement for a project’s culture.

Finally, Conrado Morlan talks about adding Gen Y to your projects. Many of you know that I believe one of the major shifts in our economy is this generation and harnessing their incredible creativity and differing work style. This is a solid post!

The Agile Manifesto says we should have working software over comprehensive documents. While we agree with this, one documentation expert shows how documentation can not only be useful but critical.

Shouldn’t every manager be a center of excellence? Saira Karim suggests we combine PMOs and COEs? What do you think?

We agree with Lynda Bourne that happy project manages are productive project managers. What about you?

The Agile Alliance has announced AgileIndia2012 for February, 2012.

We have been saying that an organization needs to take their attitude from being TOLD what to do to being PERMITTED to do things to being EXPECTED to do things. Basically the knowledge worker. Agile outside of software is finally helping in this regard.

Our professional Agile and software technology project managers are excited to learn about PMIs plans for a Software Extension to PMBOK, similar to the construction extension as well as the upcoming Agile Certified Practitioner (PMP-ACP) designation coming soon.

Read about the Scrum Gathering in Seattle this past June, and perhaps consider going to the Scrum Gathering in London this October

A much simpler and faster way to the CLOSE stage of PMBOK – in Agile: It Happens At The End, But It’s Just The Beginning.

Do you ever get scared when you’re about to facilitate a meeting as project manager? So do most other project managers. Exercising your PM knowledge is the way to get better and get over your fear.
